Poll Says Feds Should Limit Pay

According to Rasmussen
Thirty percent (30%) of Americans believe the government should make it illegal to pay movie stars and athletes more than $1 million per year.

There is more support—but not much more--for capping the pay of corporate executives. Thirty-six percent (36%) say the federal government should make it illegal to pay any executive more than $1 million a year. The majority (54%), however, disagree.
If true, that's 30/36% who need a serious education, probably best gained by deportation to Cuba. Outrageous.

The 30%/36% will change their tune when the government decides that their jobs should have quotas and pay limits. Of course, the likes of them never think it is possible that allowing the government to limit CEO salaries means they are free to limit all of our salaries. By the time the government gets to you and me at our income levels, which I doubt are significantly different from many of the 30%/36% crowd, it is too late.

Sad that

I hope you're right. Otherwise, it indicates we have a permanent and significant percentage of citizens who are already thoroughly Europeanized, a much graver problem than some temporary populist outrage.

It's difficult to judge sometimes how much is temporary media manipulation, how much is the result of too-successful generational brainwashing in egalitarianism that won't go away without a much more serious and harder to effect cultural revolution.

Of course, changing the media ain't no easy thing either, but blogs, etc where the playing field is much more level, are eating the lunches of the mainstream press so that problem may fix itself before too long.

Salaries won't even need to be capped once jobs become harder to find.
