In Tuesday’s Texas GOP primary, tea party-inspired contenders found themselves blown out in races across the state. Gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina, who closely aligned herself with the grass-roots conservative movement, picked up just 19 percent of the vote.Wow, fancy that. Already a whole year old and only picked up 19 percent of the vote in a state that has been dominated historically by the well-funded, century-and-a-half old Republican Party. Maybe we should all just pick up and go home, adjusting to living peacefully — or at least passively — under the yoke of our statist masters.
Sheesh. The transparent attempt here to depress those striving for freedom is pathetic.
